Food only, didn't stay at the hotel - Pizza is the gem of this place. Otherwise the food is average, the service is so slow. You have to keep asking for them to come and take your order. Service from staff is average, one was great the others not so much. The manager was helpful though. For what you pay, it isn't worth it.

Booked a table for sunday lunch which was in the middle of the 2 french doors going into the back garden / outdoor pods. Staff were friendly to start with and even if the food was not great, the sunday lunch was very average and my burger had the consistency of reconstituted meat. We were just putting up with children going in and out of the french doors in the back garden. When the staff opened the second french door right behind me I complained and asked if they could keep this door closed and just use the others doors. The waitress simply said this door will stay open to serve the pod. I think that was absolutely unacceptable and the management should not put a table in the middle of two doors and cold drafts in the middle of winter. We will not visit again.

We visited for my partner's birthday with friends and it is safe to say we would have had a nicer meal at McDonald's. Starters took 1 1/2 hours to come to the table and were average. The waitresses were keen to keep taking drinks orders (money making ploy?) but everytime we asked for waiting times for our meal, were told 'well we're busy' or '10 minutes'. After waiting an hour 1/2 for the mains, I dared to ask a second time how long the wait was and was told 'well I told you 10 minutes, 10 minutes ago'. It had in fact been 20 minutes... The mains eventually came and were cold and disappointing. One of our party was served meat instead of a vegan meal, half of the meals were cold and/or overly salty. We barely ate the meals due to this. I had brought a cake to be served as a surprise after the meal and again had to ask them twice if they could please serve this as they had agreed when we arrived. Our party by this point were exhausted and just wanted to leave. After another 20 minutes of seeing the waitress and the manager argue over who could be bothered less to serve the cake, it was eventually served. We complained to the manager about the experience and were given 20% of the total bill. We were all so exhausted and didn't have the energy to argue further but all felt that the meal was not even worth this. We were so disappointed and can safely say we will never be returning.

We waited over 1hr30 for our starters. The scotch egg was nice but others in our party were unimpressed with their meals. We then waited 1hr15 for the mains. We kept asking the waitress how long it would be until the food was ready and we were told 10 minutes 3 times. By the time the mains came we were all fed up, and they were very average. Vegetarian in our party was served meat as well which is unacceptable. They took 3 rounds of drinks orders before we had any food so I think maybe it was a ploy to try and get more drinks orders out of us. The food is very expensive and the service was poor. Will definitely not return.

I have eaten at lunchtime and breakfast time in the past, both of which were a great experience. Unfortunately, our experience last weekend was absolutely awful. We had a table booked for 5pm due to having five young children plus a baby, despite this, food was not served until gone 6.30. Now the food, on the plus side the burgers and pizzas did look good, although I ordered the Pollo Picante, anvertised as "Half" a chicken, and one of the sides being "garlic & basil marinated tomatoes" you would expect half a chicken to contain at least some chicken breast, which this did not, and the "tomatoes " consisted of one cherry tomatoe cut into quarters, absolutely rip off for £20. Now let's get down to the real issue! My daughter, being vegetarian order a vegetarian pie, but a BEEF pie was served, which she didn't realise until she had eaten some of it, apon apologising they said they would change it, we asked for a portion of chips to keep her going which were not delivered, we waited 20mins for the "correct" pie to be delivered, but again a BEEF pie was delivered, how do you make the same mistake TWICE!!! especially on a crucial part of the order. Once the correct pie had been served, everyone had long finished eating and all the children were getting restless. The young staff were ignoring our table due to our irritation on the poor service and leaving it for the manager to deal with, resulting in none of the dirty plates or glasses being collected untill after we had left. Imagine being vegetarian and eating meat!...almost twice!

The most expensive place to go and have breakfast. Two slices of toast cost a grand total of £5.00! Just criminal. Also the manager mentioned how cold it was today. Well why don't you put the log fire on! Mrs sat in her coat eating breakfast. Breakfast is ok. But I wouldn't be rushing back. Also 3.65 for a glass of orange juice is crazy. Tasted like a cheap orange juice. Not Tropicana or a premium brand.

I just popped in for breakfast as I had some time to kill and they could not have provided a better service. I was able to sit in a quiet spot and watch the world go by and had the most delicious light bite and tea - perfect place with a relaxed atmosphere at 8.30 in the morning.

The pizza is good. But…the service is so slow I’m slightly concerned they won’t be ready for Xmas 2025 bookings. When asking why the tomato and mozzarella salad doesn’t have any mozzarella, garçon returns 9 seconds later with the same plate with a WHOLE GLOBE of mozzarella just sitting on top like a fat, arrogant golf ball. The staff are playing a game of “can you not clear anyone’s plate for 3 hours” and literally they are all winning. Eventually the pizza chef started delivering his own work to tables directly as he clearly also had places to be before he physically died of waiting. One waitress was so distracted either by any kind of bright light or waiting for Evanescence to reform that it came as a huge shock when she was asked to do….well, anything. When politely asking for the service charge to be removed (in fairness it was without complaint) I was told as a reason for the poor service - “yeah, it’s Christmas…” as if this has come as a shock as you suddenly have more than 7 people wanting to eat there in the same day. We know it’s hard work. We know it’s busy. But if you are charging £150+ for a pretty standard lunch for four people then it should be a lot better. But the pizza is nice.

Came here for late breakfast, unfortunately the service was not great slow they got things wrong generally uninterested in service. The food was okay but nothing much better than a wetherspoons. Not worth it sorry to say.

Had a table of 4 booked for tonight at 7pm. Once we ordered we noticed it was 45mins and our starters hadn't arrived. We asked the waitress who said she'd check, she then brought over the mains. We told he'd we was waiting for our starters, she then went and came back with the mains and told us everything was ready and would need to bring everything over or it would go cold. We agreed as we where all hungry. So we had our mains and starters at the same time, food was warm but not hot. Once eaten we asked for desert menus. We ordered our deserts which then took over 45mins again. We got to 9.30pm when they arrived. We ate these quickly and went straight to the bar to pay. We where shocked to find no discount and not even our drinks removed from the bill. After the very long waits for food and the mix up with starters there was no compensation. The waitres even said it was her fault that the mix up happened but nothing wad amended to the bill ? The food was nice but not worth the poor service. They need to employ more waitresses staff to cope with the demand ! We had booked a table for the following Saturday which we will cancle after tonight's meal.

Arrived for pre-booked festive dinner - told that turkey was only available for those who had pre-ordered. Was not given the opportunity to do this. Unapologetic staff with no remedial options offered.

Awful staff presence Was told being “kicked out” after sitting down 2 seconds to then be shocked… Then told Joe kicked out but to be moved to different area… then told a large free table she will clean The on approach of table a rude young lady decided to say the woman promised her (fake) To then she only had one person join her We hand 10 people Then moved to restaurant where a blond member of staff was extremely rude on 3 occasions!!! Meanwhile other rude customer was smug We was pulled pillar to post Shocking Will never return due to this How ever young bar man serving was very pleasant his about the only one who was! Did catch his name but dark hair and on point

Stopped there for food. We have loved the cosy but elegant setting, and the food was really delicious. A special mention for their pizza, you can tell they have an excellent oven.

We hired the room on the side for my daughters 40th birthday. I can't fault anything. The room was just right for what we wanted. The food was delicious and the staff were brilliant. Would definitely go here again.

I stayed here whilst on a course locally for work. The staff were friendly, helpful, polite and attentive. The food was good. The rooms were clean and nice. Had what you needed. Thank you for making me feel welcome

Went for a birthday evening meal in the restaurant. The service was extremely slow.I had to chase our mains as an adjacent table sat after us, received their starters before us and had finished their mains before we received ours! I really wanted the food to be poor too, but it was really nice. It wasn't busy, the staff didn't seem stretched, but they didn't seem happy. A smile was missing from everyone. We were given a discount for the ridiculous delay without needing to ask , but an personal apology from the manager would been appreciated as well. It's a shame, as we will not be back.

Not sure where to begin Food is average and that's pushing it, service is worse than average Puddings look like they are shop brought But what really topped off a bad experience was watching the young lad relaying a table and grabbed the fork by the top not the handle of fork is disgusting

We chose to hold celebrations for my baby shower in the lounge area at Banyers House on Sunday after an amazing initial conversation with Chloe a couple of months prior, and everything was absolutely perfect! Chloe was so responsive to emails, helping us with anything we needed and being so accommodating in the lead up to the event, providing table cloths and helping set up on the day. Chloe even came in on what should have been her day off to ensure everything went smoothly which we were so grateful for! Alexis was also wonderful on the day ensuring we were taken care of and that everything was going ok. We absolutely won’t hesitate to book any future celebrations at Banyers House, Chloe and Alexis really are a credit to the team so thank you both so much! ✨

Went for Sunday lunch, which was very poor on this occasion. Sirloin Beef was so tough it had to be returned...not something I often do. It ruins the lunch for the whole table when this happens.

Do not have the roast beef dinner ,save your money ! Tough meat and you are expected to eat it with a blunt knife. Gravy is think and stodgy and Yorkshire puddings that are so dry and burnt Not the Sunday roast I was expecting ! Staff are rude and arrogant . Avoid the place

We had our wedding dinner at the Banyers House. The team was very helpful in organising our night, they decorated the room for us and delivered lovely service. Food at the Banyers is always top notch and our family loved their meals and drinks. Thank you team, you’ve been the best and made our night extra special!

I had a really great time at this venue! The food was top-notch – I couldn’t fault it at all. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the place was spotless, which made for a comfortable experience. The service from the team was fantastic too; they were welcoming and knew the menu well. They even offered us dessert and coffee, which was a nice touch. However, I was a bit disappointed with the drink selection, especially the real ales. I think they could improve by offering a wider variety for those of us who love a good pint. One downside was the booking process for larger groups. The website was quite a hassle to navigate, so an email option would definitely make things easier. Overall, I had such a fun night and would definitely come back!
